The Morning Of

On a cloudy Friday morning, on April 19th, Paige & Joey tied the knot. Paige arrived at River Farm, with her mom, and began getting ready. Her mom helped zip her into her dress and the final touches. Paige and her mom got emotional as they took a look in the mirror and headed to her first look with her dad. Later on, Paige had her first look with Joey, a sweet & calm moment before first look with the bridal party and family photos.

The Ceremony

The long awaited moment has finally arrived. The guests stand as Paige makes her way down the aisle; Joey shedding a few tears. They exchange vows, share what their love feels like; with a sweet reference to the smell of blueberry pancakes in the morning and promise to love each other until death. The exchange rings and are officially pronounced husband & wife!

The Portraits

Bridal portraits were done before the ceremony, so the couple could enjoy their cocktail hour with the friends and family, River Farm Estate, built in the 1700’s and located in Alexandria, Virginia was once an outlying part of George Washington's Mount Vernon estate. We explored the estate, taking pictures in every picturesque corner of this beautiful, historic home.

The Reception

After cocktail hour, guests headed into the reception space for speeches. Her father and their best friends shared beautiful moments of their love story and how happy they are to see them embark on this new journey. Afterwards, they headed to dinner on the front lawn and shared their first dance. Paige had a special surprise for Joey and her guests. Paige altered her mom’s wedding dress from the 80’s and wore it as her reception party dress. It was a major hit! They cut their wedding cake and danced the night away.
